Talk:Endless Ocean

I asked a friend to make a banner for the hub, I hope he will get back to me soon.

Just a tip, once you start fleshing out some pages (like the character bios, treasure and equipment info) add links to them on this main page for easier access. You might also want consider writing up some info on the game as a whole for the main page for a good, but brief, look into it.

Don't forget about edit summaries!

Ok, its very late right now so I will type up a detailed first page tomorrow morning. I did the page on the Glass Squid, but there are so many fish in the game that it would be too long of a list on the first page. So should I just simply put a link underneath the Fish part of the first to the Category:Endless Ocean/Creatures page?

Yesseree Bob ;). The index is for some of the more important pages as deemed by contributors (or in this case, you). I would suggest you just put some of the more detailed pages there for more views. Later, I'll probably make the section headers on this page to be category links :)

SSBB Crazy 17 June 2009
Ah, sorry about the bad linking. I'll go fix the same mstake I made on another page. I guess I learn from my mistakes. XD

Don't worry too much about it. Right now I am checking over most of your recent edits and making any small corrections I can. It is (sort of but not really) my spot on this wiki :) Don't forget edit summaries!

SSBB Crazy 17 June 2009
Do we need edit summaries when we are creating a page? And yeah, sorry, sometimes I'm excited to get the page up and I skip right over it, I'll pay more attention.

For creating pages you don't need it because it auto populates the edit summary based on the new content but it doesn't hurt to shorten it up by typing "new page"

Another note: adding a summary afterwards doesn't really help too much :P and you can add the Auto template while submitting the image! In the summary box, just type in
{{Auto}}
and it will be added to the image page :)

I might be able to help out more than I thought with this :) I'll look up information (basic stuff like descriptions from the game) and add it following the established format for a bunch of the fish/sharks/animal things. Once I get home from "work" of course.

SSBB Crazy 17 June 2009
Oh, wow, thats a lot easier then editing and then adding auto every single time. XD Thanks, I'll do that for now on! And yeah its really not all that confusing of a game, theres just A LOT of content, and once the next game comes out beginning of next year there will be a lot more to add (in another hub of course). I'm just trying to get together all the major stuff first, its just getting pictures can be a problem. I have to try out my digital camera and see how it looks.

The game does have a photography feature, but there isn't a way to upload them from the game to the SD card like Animal Crossing: City Folk. It would of made things a lot easier.

Nice header :) Simple and clean

Good news for anyone who cares, I tried out my digital camera and the pictures atually don't look half-bad as long as I get the object I'm taking a picture of close to the screen. I know that it will still be a bit blurry/hazy, but it's better than nothing right?
